5 Favourite, but often ignored, Analytics features

It's a wonderful thing online, is that our work is just so measurable.

In almost every industry, a lot of decisions are based on sample data or assumptions, or just the feel of gut. But online, we can measure almost all the 95% + of our visitors — yay us!

Pretty charts and statistics in the world, we have a stack to ensure that we got the numbers of the eyes. But I will bang buck (i.e., the value is maksuvaatimuksensa) is not really does not equal, I think, Google Analytics — and it just keeps getting better.

I am sure that you have a lot of is already familiar with Analytics for Google-able — and if you like, use of drugs on a daily basis. So I thought to share five Favorites, but often overlooked features in Google Analytics.

There are so many layers, layers and the measures taken by the Google Analytics interface, which I often waste time trying to find my first stop system: reports.

Custom reports, changed that. This feature is not only possible to a myriad of different perspectives, and information, but you can also save the head of each report and back, it's a moment notice. this video is a good starting point for understanding to make the most of the custom reports ".

Actually tunnustella Analytics, make sure that you have everything you need to jump a whole can be difficult. Scheduled reports make the job easier.

You will probably have to look at more than the other reports. If you select a report to the top of the page to the right a little Email icon, you can specify a timetable so that the report shall be forwarded to you via your Inbox.

This is an excellent way to ensure that the busy schedule does not work, you know what happens by way of derogation from the site.

In December, I the concept of sales channels, and wrote a and a lot of you have asked how on earth you can manage to measure all of these steps. Well, part of a navigational watch at the beginning of the summary report below.

It covers the essential information for each page view, where the user came from (from another page, the external sites), and then wherever they went (Stop, the second page) — and everything in between. This is the key to the report, start browsing behaviors critical pages. You can use the summary of the contents through a part of a navigational watch. I have a habit of content Drilldown report allows you to find specific pages, and then select the I am after certain Navigational summary metrics.

When e-commerce to track Google Analytics, you can open a whole new world of insight. It is a feature that is only useful for sale online, but scarily accurate and amazingly Division.

An overview of the objectives of the

Set up not only to electronic commerce may, from time to time to see the products they're selling you the reports, and how much money can you earn, but you can also begin to track them back to the other pages of the site. You may notice that the type of page view, create a blog post to Add revenue — and clearly, if the $ index.

With this metric, or collection of pages, each page you visit, the average income per site. Unfortunately, This setting is not straightforward, and you may need a little help. Not good article on the Analytics blog, which helps you transfer. Unfortunately, I can show a good screen-shot, this information was sensitive to the other — the sites usage.

Almost all of the sites are some of the desired user action. It may be to buy something else, download the sample meets, or even look at the other pages of the bunch. Google goals set allows you to keep track of these goals, such as the fox. For the overall performance of the site, but you can also track back at every stage.

Unfortunately, this feature can be a little difficult to determine, such as electronic commerce, and is something you may want to help. I will not go into too much detail on how to do this — it's all covers Analytics to your blog.

People often know of Google Analytics is a little like quick sand. When you make your first steps, it really starts to suck you in and short time later you stuck for good. More time passes, and all of a sudden your head goes — all goes dark and you do not have any idea where you are.

It is at this point, that too many people go back to the assumptions and guesswork, murmuring something from leaving "all the statistics of guff" eggheads. If you've fallen into the Analytics Quicksand, my recommendation is to find. Identifies ten key metrics that you want to measure, to create a report or a report, which shall forward them to the metrics and check them over time. When you're accustomed to, move a little bit deeper into.

The more you understand about your company, you can make better-informed decisions — and the decisions that make or break your business, not a number.

As I mentioned in my favorite Google Analytics stats package, but it would be nice to hear about stats package you are using and how you can you find them in the comments. Or perhaps you can highlight your own Googe Analytics is covered … I am your favorite Functions

8 tips to start your own blog, successfully challenges

Earlier this year, I launched a challenge called 30 Days To Live a Better Life (30DLBL) on my blog. This is a 30-day challenge where participants complete one task a day, for 30 days in the month, that will help them live a better life. When I created 30DLBL, it was breath of fresh air—I’d not seen any such personal development challenges around at the time, and it was fun to do something different rather than just write articles every week. I was very excited about my challenge, and thought I’d probably get about 100 people joining in, or 200 people max.

I was proven wrong. The minute the post went live, there were already a handful of participants. By the end of the day, there were over 100 participants. The number slowly exploded to 200, 300, 500, 800 … to over 1,200 excited participants all over the world, all ready to transform their lives in the next 30 days! Not only that, but people were tweeting about 30DLBL, blogging about it, sharing it on Facebook, and telling all their friends about it. Some readers even specially created new blogs just to blog about their 30DLBL experience. Needless to say, the response totally blew me away!

The 30-day challenge was extremely successful, and many participants’ lives changed in unimaginable ways that month. Many of them rediscovered themselves on a whole new level, set new goals, and created new plans for their future. It was so successful that I later launched a guidebook and a workbook on the upgraded version of 30DLBL. The book sold over 200 copies in less than two weeks of launch, and last month I did a second run of the challenge, with many more runs planned in the future.

Some bloggers have also been inspired by the success of 30DLBL and are launching their own 30/31-day challenges, and it’s great to see them getting down to engage their communities.

First off, you might wonder, why run a challenge? There are four key reasons:

Create a breath of fresh air: At that time I launched the challenge, I’d already been running The Personal Excellence Blog for about 1.5 years. After 1.5 years of writing article after article, I wanted to have a 30-day challenge as a breath of fresh air, as Darren did with his challenge, 31 Days To Build a Better Blog. The challenge was designed to complement what I write at the site. It was very much welcomed by the readers.Help readers apply what you teach: Even while we may be writing down the most important insights in our articles, it’s a whole different thing altogether to apply that advice to real life. Some readers may not fully comprehend what you’re writing, while some readers may not know how to apply your insights. A challenge helps them take action.Engage readers: A challenge lets readers become involved. It makes them feel like they’re a part of your site. Launching 30DLBL helped me get up close and personal with my readers in a completely new way. At the end of the 30 days, I’d developed a very close bond with many of my readers.Form a community: With the launch of 30DLBL, I saw the first signs of a true community forming around my blog—a community where readers interact with each other, care for one another, and really help each other grow. This made me very excited about what’s ahead.

Here, I’ll share with you eight tips to help you run a successful challenge on your blog.

Some bloggers may prefer to write articles, which is totally fine. Challenges are not necessarily for everyone. Figure out whether you do want to run challenges as part of your blog, and how regularly you want to do them. It can be a once-in-a-while project—for example, Darren runs 31DBBB at Problogger about once every few years. Or it can be a regular affair, which is what I’m planning for my blog.

I love interacting with my readers, getting up close and personal with them, and growing side-by-side with them, and I see a challenge as the perfect platform for me to know them better. Last month I finished a second run of 30DLBL with great success, and it’s now part of my plan to have three 30DLBL challenges every year. On the other hand, I launched a new 21 Days To a Healthier Me challenge in January ’11, where people all around the world get together to live a healthier life for 21 days. I’m planning more new challenges in the months ahead, to get more readers to join in and participate. Through these challenges, I’ve gotten to know my readers on a much personal level than I had previously with just writing articles.

Before you kick off a challenge, you’ve to ensure that you have a sizable reader base. The last thing you want to do is to have a challenge that no one’s participating in! Bear in mind that there’ll always be dropouts throughout the challenge, so if you have 100 people signing up, you might very well end up with only ten people towards the last week, and that will pull down the momentum. So the more participants you can get starting the challenge on Day 1, the better.

When I kicked off 30DLBL, I had almost 10,000 subscribers. I believe you’re good to go if you have at least 5,000 active subscribers, though I’ve seen people launch challenges with only 500 subscribers and they went well. In those cases,  the outreach was smaller by comparison, and the community, while small, was tight-knit.

Your challenge should have a tangible, compelling benefit that draws people to participate. Since people have to dedicate time to the challenge, the benefit has to be something attractive. For 30DLBL, the benefit is about living a better life, and that’s something which was very compelling to many. After all, as growth-oriented people, we’re always looking for ways to grow and improve our lives.

Your challenge should be relevant to the topic of your site. It’s going to be quite strange if your blog’s about cooking and you run a challenge that’s on making money! Since I run a personal development blog, 30DLBL was a great complement to what I’d been writing at the blog. It was a great way to reinforce the ideas and concepts I’ve been sharing since the blog started.

Besides it being a direct complement, your benefit can be a subset of your site’s offering. Think about what your site is about, then brainstorm on the various sub categories that fall under the theme of your site. Are there any noteworthy topics worth starting a challenge on? The Live a Healthier Life in 21 Days challenge I just ran this month has been a great success. While some may think that health and personal development are unrelated, it works as healthy living is part of living a better life. People who are interested in personal development are the same people who want to pay attention to their health and fitness too.

I posted the announcement post for 30DLBL five days before it started, which provided enough lead time for people to find out about the challenge, share with their friends, and join in. At the same time, I think it would have been better if I posted it earlier. Overall, one week should be more than enough time for you to promote the challenge and spread the word.

It’s up to you to design your challenge the way you want. I recommend making it a daily challenge, since it’ll be easier to follow. Duration-wise, I recommend 30 or 31 days (where participants can dedicate a whole month to it), or 21 days if you think 30 days is too long. 30DLBL was, of course, 30 days long, whereas my healthy living challenge was 21 days long. Anything longer than one month will be too long—participants will be likely to lose steam before it finishes.

A successful challenge is one that allows the participants to interact with one another—not just to interact with you. Establish channels for them to engage with one another. With 30DLBL, I initiated a twitter hashtag of #30DLBL, so that participants can connect with one another. I also created a new forum, with a sub-forum dedicated to the challenge so readers could have their own space to interact with one another. This approach worked very well. Participants used these platforms to give each other support and encouragement, and at the end of the process, many new friendships and bonds had been formed. Many of them added each other on Facebook afterward, and stayed in touch through the forums and Facebook.

If you make your challenge tasks daily (which I recommend), you want to make them easy to follow. Don’t set tasks which take a week to complete. If your challenge is too tough, your readers may get discouraged and give up mid-way. This will defeat the whole purpose of the challenge to begin with! Make the tasks easy to process—break them up into mini-steps and spell everything out in layman’s terms.

For example, when I first ran 30DLBL, there were several tasks that made the participants feel discouraged, because they couldn’t finish them on time. Subsequently, they kept putting off the tasks and eventually disappeared off the radar. Hence, in my upgraded version of 30DLBL, I revised the tasks such that they could be completed in 30 minutes to one hour, if the person made an effort to do so.

Your participants are the backbone of your challenge, so stay in tune with their progress every step of the way. Observe what’s happening at ground level. If there’s something going awry, step in to help out. Throughout 30DLBL, my site received over a thousand comments from readers. I read through as many comments as I could and replied to all the questions that they asked. I also made a point of responding to as many participant comments as possible, so that they would be encouraged to share more. This created a tightly-knit community around my challenge.

I also noticed after four or five days in the challenge, some participants were falling behind. Hence, I introduced a three-day break after the first week, so the participants who were falling behind could catch up. It was very much welcomed and many participants were able to regroup themselves and get back into the challenge after that.

Challenges can be resource-intensive, but they definitely pay off. Your readers become more engaged, you help to make a positive difference in their lives, and you can build a community for your site. It’s up to you whether you want to create one, and what you want it to be about.

For me, running 30DLBL has been an extremely rewarding experience, and it’s not going to end there. I’ve planned a series of new challenges which I look forward to completing with my readers. Have you ever run, or considered creating, a challenge for your blog? Tell us about it in the comments.

Blogging the puzzle (1)

You can solve the puzzle of blogging? Or are you just puzzled?

As a kid, when the winter break around, I found myself too much time on my hands. So occupy myself a 1000-piece puzzles. They kept me entertained days.

But after several hours to complete the puzzle, I always came to the point where I wanted to stop — the point where I became so frustrated, that I just wanted to throw in the madness of the entire wall box. The feeling can remember, if the puzzle makers intentionally tried to trick me, as they had made some very important pieces of the puzzle to keep me finishing. I felt like there was insider tips, which had not been privileged to know.

Puzzled, but step away from the table selection for some time been — in fact eat, use the restroom and I somehow do not change, the frenzied Quest.

Although my break, I still think stupid puzzle. Think about what I had gone wrong. Perhaps, that I thought was a song that would coordinate the site who actually belonged to a different location completely. Jigsaw puzzle in my mind, even though the seats had been eating.

When I got back to the fresh start seeing through the eye of the Puzzle, many pieces, which was overlooked before. If I had tried these elements appear in the wrong places really force belonged to the exact spot to find. My second wind to get before I knew it, and every piece of strict and beautiful, a great picture.

Fast forward a few decades. I love puzzles, but still no longer time for these frivolous time wasting (okay, I admit it: I enjoy yet sometimes). However, I learned that a lot of puzzles blogging learned.

This, it seems that the most rational thing to do, but it is also very tempting to just Start throwing things and you have one. Yet, without a frame, it is easy to sight, how to coordinate all of the other pieces — the puzzle becomes vague, nebulous thing which does not make sense. The frame is placed on the physical frontiers, that enable the dimensions and an understanding of the puzzle, you can see the importance of each individual piece.

It is the same blog. Requires good design, a blog that visually shows the readers how all the pieces fit together, and your blog easy to navigate a solid foundation. Visual structure of classes in the given context, that it is necessary to understand the limits of your blog. Look for these categories, the reader should quickly get a idea of what they may or may find your blog.

Honestly I see blogging as my latest puzzle adventure. As I continue to be a deeper dive into the world of blogging, discover new information that was not before the end of the song. As I have a bag to digest new information that comes in the form of books and other blog posts, big picture starts to develop.

Sometimes I understand are the lost pieces. The good news is that I don't need to know everything. A little research, where you can make only about anything. Sometimes I just have to go back and keep digging through I thought were useless before until I understand are very much the song is the same song. Were initially rejected blogging puzzle cuts. For example, the SEO point does not appear. I had to go back and add that to my knowledge, as well as a valuable piece of the Bank at a later time, when I saw the importance of the blog.

Blogging requires work and time commitment. 1000-piece puzzle, as it has never done one day. You must keep it piece by piece, until it finally starts looking increasingly like the box to the image — as you can before seeking to create frustration hit the blog.

I don ' t care how bad the blog starts. I believe that if it continues to work to improve the time to receive the best medical science — particularly the blogosphere, where the old and the new blogs will go to on a daily basis. If the blog can stand the test of time, some level of success was not far away.

I learned the hard way, that all over the place, jumping to the next really only to accelerate the development of the territory of the frustration factor. Instead of focusing on one region, until something I recognized was developed, to become fascinated by the pieces and the puzzle completely unrelated to start working on the part of the new set.

First, when I started blogging, I was so fascinated by the affiliate marketing and make money online that I have not had time to develop all the main piece: content.

No wonder so many people step away from blogging-table — is so many different factors, demanding attention. These factors may leave you feeling frazzled and drag across the place hintapolitiikassaan, you can focus on. When I realized the importance of focusing on one area at a time (in cases of doubt, to focus on the content), I had the opportunity to do much more.

My blogging now I've learned so many years ago, the puzzles of information. That is the personal experience of the beauty is an important lesson to learn: in all, what we do — even seemingly useless than putting together a jigsaw puzzle.

So what about you? You try to continue blogging puzzle? Or are you so puzzled that you are ready to give? What are the tips to add?

Fundraise $ 1000 blog 3 days

When you first got into blogging street photography, I told myself was going to sell out the man, and that is to be regarded as an ad free blog as well as Decided therefore had to be regarded as more passion and hobby rather than a job. I enjoy writing the blog post to an audience, as well as supporting them questions while getting up for some users to write Guest posts for me.

Eric workshop team (author's image)

One day, one of my blog posts, titled "I learned Street photography 101 things" went viral and brought 3000 visitors on the blog (I average about 100 visitors per day, at the time) one day. Then in Beirut, Lebanon, photography workshop, the Director of the email to me, ask me to teach street photography workshop.

Characteristics of ecstatic and very excited about the trip was. However, there was a problem. 1100 $ does not have the time to reserve tickets to reply to Beirut. The status of the Organization was able to fund my workshop on security and charges but not on my flight.

When all Hope seemed lost, my girlfriend suggested that my blog community to reach out to and tries to fundraise for my ticket. I thought that it is almost impossible to fundraise for my trip, but I thought that it would be a test.

Fast three days. I had $ 1100 ticket reply to teach my street photography Beirut workshop in My Paypal account. I ended up having a lifetime of travel, meet some amazing people and cordial, and images, as well as travel destinations.

Now you're looking to increase the funding might not be your career journey. Maybe you want to raise funds for a charity or cause is important to you. Or maybe you want to be able to donate money for a change. The important reason the blog through the fundraising is very enjoyable thing to do, to meet. This is how I did it.

Well, before I started this trip, fundraising, I was very strong, and my personal relationship with the community. My Facebook fan page, I regularly Ask my audience input and opinions about certain problems and try my best to solve all his first name. Not only that, but trying my best to respond to every single comment will also receive my blog personally.

I think really human generosity and kindness. People want the other to achieve their dreams. People can donate when I asked them to achieve my dream come true — that had to go to the part of Beirut. In addition, the fact that my mission was not as selfish, but wants to spread sprang to my beloved street photography in other locations, helped in a drastic reduction in the rescue.

Always, when I got my donation, I the choices in the development of the blog. I have done the percentage bar in Photoshop and updates whenever someone donated to my reason, help me to get closer and closer to 100% of the character. In this way, I rely on the actions of the game mechanics to wake up; people wanted to see me reach 100% of the character, and there was no reason to Donate. By making the experience much more visual help in a drastic reduction in the rescue.

When I have been asking for donations, I used all my social media environments. This include Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and blog. In order to effectively reach every platform helped me all the different groups of users, who believed in my cause. Tietoliikenneprotokollat only one social media platform to sell yourself short, is very widespread on the Internet, kindness.

When someone donated to my cause, I gave him a heart-felt and personal response, thanking them for their generosity. Thus, a person who donated to your cause, feel good to help spread the word and motivated. Who goes to my next point …

It hurts to never ask other people to support your cause. Simple things such as updating their status on Facebook or send a Tweet to help really a lot. Imagine if you had 100 fans, and they updated their Facebook statuses, their contacts are asking. Now suppose that the average person is also around 200 friends on Facebook. This means that your message will be sent to at least the audience that ripple outward (2000), if other people believe in your cause and continue.

The reason for my donors to support my inquiring about (I) shall be recorded in the video, upload it to YouTube and far and wide spread. Why use video instead of just writing? Well, when you record a video, you can really see the computer behind the face of it, the person — they. In addition, you can ask for support in the real-life reading, people feel safer because they know it, you are not some random scammer on the Internet. Show spirit, personality and charisma. It really goes a long way to go.

Human love is proud of and to see their names in public places. All of the item, which is famous for its monuments, the names of donors to consider is to embed the bricks, which make the Memorial. I did the same on my blog. Whenever someone donated to my cause, wrote his name "donors list", which was proudly displayed in front of my Home. First and foremost, I made sure to show them for each gift, how much money, so I've seen it a little too intrusive.

Most people love it, but the causes are not sure how much to donate (which it totally prevent them). My campaign, I asked for a minimum donation of $ 5. Get multiple gifts worth is $ 5, but surprisingly enough, some of the people who donated to either gave 20 € or 25 €. If you specify at least the proposed donation, people know what the standard should be, and even donate more if they really believe in your cause.

Fundraising campaign period I had the opportunity to net $ 300 donations through Paypal for the first two days. However, what really got me-Lebanon had 800 € unpaid Swedish street photographer named by Thomas leuthard. He heard my reason via Twitter and after my passion and how badly I wanted this trip, he offered to sponsor the rest of my journey. He also told me that she was looking for some adventure and asked me if he could accompany me to work on sisustussuunnittelija.

He actually ended up my street photography workshop guest speaker and personally overseas after the meeting, we made a strong friendship and relationship.

The people who donated to your cause and loves to see the fruits of their work. When you return from your trip, share your experience! It took several photos in Beirut, Lebanon, people, and share them with this post. Not only that, but the slides from the workshop of the that I also shared — free of charge to those who wanted to participate but did not complete successfully.

Have you ever used a fundraising blog? How you do it and what tips can you share?

How blog can Score you can freely travel

Anthony written this Guest post from Travel Tart.

When I started my first trip to the site in 2009, I wanted to just get my travel writing since I was a blank, traditional media worked way. A little having online presence would result in all corners of the globe, setting out the fishing opportunities and the press TRIPS, and I did this from the outset to know!

Fiji's Coral Coast (image is author's own)In 2010 alone, I went Fiji, press trips, United Kingdom and in South Africa. I have also recently become partners in a large Sacramento company that provides more opportunities for press TRIPS in the coming year.

When I press trips, I mean, if all of the costs of travel, such as flights, meals, accommodation and activities are. Considering I started my blog just 2009, and almost zero knowledge of how the Internet worked, which is pretty good!

Do you want to travel the world travel blog? This is what I've learned my lessons.

Traditional media such as newspapers, radio and television are the scattergun approach: they broadcast all sorts of information for everyone, but this information is not relevant or interesting to all those eyeballs.

However, the blogger with online presence means that one is currently using the multimedia such as writing, photography and video to the website. These media can be used to tell the same story in different ways.

A number of advantages to offer media blog, traditional media through:

Speed: bloggers can post something in the experience of the days of the date on which the data and begin attracting traffic immediately. Traditional media people have to write the story, as the case may be, shall submit to the editor, waiting for approval and thereafter shall be published in the piece — a process that can often take weeks, or even monthsUsing photography and video footage to show experience, says instead. Newspapers and magazines will not be able to do this. For example, try writing about such as bungee jumping off a fully stable rock ledge for the 70-metre freefall experience. this video the experience much more effectively communicates. You can create more than one (1) of the trip. (I) the usual blogging campaign for these press trips by presenting a number of stations, each one focused on something other than travel. The amount varies depending on the number of posts per flight, depending on experience. For example, I created a two-week trip to post press 15-20, and to schedule these publish over time. The biggest advantage that the blogger is targeted, long-term Internet traffic, which is so far the shelf-life can attract. For example, if someone is Googling "South African Sacramento", you can be sure of what they're looking for particular information on the topic. In addition, because people are searching for keywords in the search engines through a expressly, and this means that the traffic is made up of people who are interested in these topics and are therefore likely to take, you will be able to provide information. It has a laser focus on the content!

Now ' m going to assume you already have a travel related to the blog or blog a strong focus, so not going to tell you how to write a trip to the post. Instead, I want to explain, you have used to build your own profile and travel blogger, I was approached with the organizations of my trips to the sponsor than technologies.

Sell the benefits of the above, the online presence and to promote, what can I do business or tourist Commission — and back again depending on the type of evidence.

For example, turned to travel in my city of fairs, as is usually the Tourism Commission, and other travel industry exists. Then start a conversation with someone at the stand, as they are in most cases, the public relations staff. This is how I am the actual one press of the TRIPS Agreement.

In addition, the use of business cards, and on the other hand, as they are relatively cheap, and you've discovered, they are a great Icebreaker.

I have often had only a travel blogger, I have been, the press, most of the TRIPS Agreement — and that I can be the writer, photographer and video production for all at the same time!

However, the trips to provide exposure to other travel-related contacts, expand network, and open more opportunities — ironically — traditional media! Excellent feedback for you, as the case may be, these guys about how video can capture travel experience as well.

I followed all of these trips through the Internet traffic report data in my reports are subsequently attracted press, achieved by video views and Google keyword positions in the Organization, which shall be paid for my travel. Accompanied traffic strategies to contain information about the organization might like to consider, such as search engine optimization (SEO), Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, Stumbleupon, etc), and so on. All this has accumulated in my evidence, and even a strong track record for me.

Having an online presence can give you a huge advantage over traditional media.

It seems to me that the biggest advantage is that the Internet is quantifiable. You can offer clients or sponsors of the journey, the transport statistics, information on where the traffic is originating from, and even information on how long visitors stay on your site.

The first is the hardest to get press trip. But if the track record of attracting targeted Internet traffic in advance shows your chances of scoring that first is much greater. And when you have the track record, called for more Press trips! This is how a blog can create opportunities that lead to free travel.

If you've managed to score a free travel, thanks to your blog, what other tips to add?

Life and travel is a difficult task, when you're constantly outside activities, though the help collections running inside your company needs you.

The traveller who makes a living as a building and publishing travel websites, I noticed that the Web can all be efficient: it is easy to spend hours or even days online. The work is always required. The Internet take as much as it gives. On the other hand, it is easy to track, and "play" too much. New human appointment and traveling frequently to the new destinations will be all the more important work. It was difficult for me to find a good balance between the two for some time. I have worked too much and I've traveled too much, so that something always suffered.

Meshing distance and manageable, and to meet the lifestyle of working is art. If you have any travel blog, you are going to eventually the need to travel and blog at the same time. Some of you are going to have to find a way to balance work and travel, if you want to travel to the blogger.

Organizer requires a lot, and a mistake and I have had to learn to balance conflicting requirements. I've been pulled in many different directions, and it has taken to balance work and life of the discipline. One I learned from my trip over the years the most important in the light of the experience gained, it is important to set certain times. You might have to force yourself away from your computer, otherwise the "few minutes" in easily change for several hours. Year, although a few have developed strategies to help manage their time more effectively, among other things, on the road.

It is easy to get distracted incoming email. My productivity by scheduling set times to check my email. Nothing is never so urgent that it cannot wait for a few hours. If you're always checking email, you are going to be constantly distracting, and it's not as productive as it could be.

My most productive hours of the morning and late afternoon is before you go out. When you make the best of my job. Schedule the job, when I have the most productive, I get the most done and then I don't need to worry about anything else.

In this respect, continue to maintain one. Traveller, for journeys as you want, and do stuff. You don't want to deal with throughout the day. Avoid during the work day is important. Museums, tours, activities — they all occur when the Sun is up, and when you should be out too. Work in the late afternoon or early morning continue to give you time to see the sights.

The period shall be determined in accordance with the jobs and tasks. If the time limits for myself, I have to force account work during that period. It is a mental trick, but it works. This works even better when you're traveling with other users. You do not want to make them wait!

It is easy to get to work or forget important tasks. Find a list of tasks that will help me create my productivity and focus on mine. I would like to share my list of daily tasks. When the days of the date on which the work is finished, go out and play, and do not feel has not yet made.

Find helpful the second trick is balancing the workflow tasks for the day. For example, Monday is my writing day, Tuesday, Wednesday is the day of the photo is the occasional task of the day. Continue to work to make it easier for the packages by a managed pieces, I spend less time getting stressed and goes, ' Oh! I have a lot to do! "

Twitter and Facebook have never invented the most annoying tools. Love them both and use them constantly, but when I worked for I close them if I do, I spend too much time chatting with friends on Facebook or read tweets and my productivity suffers from it.

Learning to balance work and travel — or the rest of your life — blogging and is a difficult task, that everyone has to work. You will be able to better balance work and play, however, the training and take disciplined life itself in good time management skills. (I) you will not be able to Learn these lessons immediately, and I am still not all the way, not yet, but I am getting is not the case. What are the secrets of time management? Would be nice to hear them!

Your blog is great? Or large?

This Guest post is Marjorie Clayman Clayman advertising.

Recently it was announced Richard Thompson I was going to have awarded the OBE Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Perhaps the answer, in any order, "No?" and "who's Richard Thompson?"

Richard Thompson is the careers of music that spans 40 years. He is a brilliant lyricist, but even more, he may be one of the best living guitarists out there. He was a member of the folk group of Fairport Convention, a member of the super and he is one of our partner, his ex-wife Linda positively make some fantastic albums. He does a lot of the singer back then, but now even his vocal stylings are outstanding. And yet, Thompson in small theatres and "intimate" concerts, and has a tough time convincing the Award to keep him.

Richard Thompson is great, but he is not high.

Over the years, Richard Thompson, at any time are likely to be in their own particular style and chucked in particular talents out the window. He promised himself and his fans, that it had only one album, so that he could get his name out there. Then he would come back on yourself.

So the blogging. You can bring in particular the speech of the blog. You can import your own unique experience and knowledge to the readers. But, at any time, you could say that hoonauksesta your skills are not nearly as important as getting a lot of traffic. It is so easy to think that the "big" aimed at could be better than the "big."

Let's face it — is probably easier to achieve a "large" becoming highly competitive when compared to this. Write a few posts in attacking the big names, provide the link bait is moot — all of these tricks is seen. But are these bloggers to high? You can remember them in 40 years?

If you want to instead of trying to be a large goal, here are some tactics you can try.

see how you can improve Richard Thompson is likely to be needed in the vocal work realized. Instead of resting on his laakereillamme, he worked hard and it is paid. Look at the messages in the last month. What would you do to improve only slightly at the end of each post?Comfort Zone outside the blog Stretch your limits. The new regions, to enrich your experience-in-the-middle attack, and that the readers.does not appear, look at the comments on the content of the Have helped them or see them saying things in a new perspective or they just say "Nice post"?Track a Subscriber. Even if this is the size of the value of the metric, the ordering is a feature people take when they are confident each, you can write a post on their interest (even if they read each individual one). Are you placing much confidence in humans?Become the classic cult Richard Thompson will not be able to be "great", as his followers are loyal, they will come around. Look at your readers. You have people who not only read messages, but they are gushing from their followers and their community?

So to say, that everyone must be such as Richard Thompson, toiling away from genius-room, although only the Queen of England forward. But becoming a "big" is often a function of the elements that are in control.

If folk was really become a popular, Richard Thompson, may also become the King of the world. The Beatles became as large as they did in part because they caught a new sound in the same way as it was growing.

But the high aims? It is under the supervision of the whole. It is configured, the client, you can be measured and it is something you can do a heart. It is important to remember that the magnitude can help pave the way to get high. Getting a large amount of promise.

You must focus on getting great lately, or it can be treated in the hoonauksesta your own craft? That you value more? Would be nice to chat with you in the comments section.

Page breaks in Blog traffic, abuse of

This Guest post is by John MoneyIn15Minutes Burnside.

My name is John Burnside and I am a recovering addict-traffic.

I got sucked analytics Quicksand and hardly were alive! I used to wake up in the morning and see how many times I had to overnight. I used to stay until after 12, even though I was tired, because the days of Google Analytics results came out. As soon as I got a mobile phone, which could access the Internet anywhere and everywhere who wanted to be was when I was really lost my cravings. Be inspected at least once per hour and sometimes twice.

With the traffic as a result of misuse of the matter is that, for the inspection of traffic then lead to more procrastination. ' One more person appeared on the blog you have. Maybe they sent me an email or a comment? ' Then you can go and check your emails and admin area. The list could go on and on, and make that last throughout the day (I know, because it is done!). This means that actually makes anything to get more traffic and towards the end even just watching traffic get smaller and smaller is exactly the opposite of what you can watch the traffic.

Hopefully these techniques, which I am about to share to help you, just as they have helped me to really learn something that will help your blog.

Now I know the traffic is not an addict of the nature of the plan. It is, first of all, how I juuttui rut. I would say to myself, "I believe this only while at the same time, when I think of what you can do."

Way to work around this is the day before the letter in your Design. Give yourself deadlines and tasks of the day, that you are going to work on your blog. If you plan on part-time, then when you are going to work, and what you plan to work on during that period. Use the excuse "I have only a few minutes." A couple of minutes to have enough time to get a little exposure to your blog.

Go to another blog and write a comment or look of the Forum to see if anything interesting has been talked about the day, and if none of the help. That takes only a second, but work remains to be seen in the online help for a long time and I hope you will find relevant backlinks with the traffic.

This method is very simple and remind me to stop dieting, or cigarettes. Simply do not allow yourself to see emails or Web analytics-a specific day outside. Write down all the things that are included in the "procrastination list" and then give yourself a small window on the day that you have the right to revise their course.

This is a method to restrict myself from checking throughout the day. As a matter of fact, view them in the first step is allowed when you wake up, and then, after I finished my work for that day. Also in the morning-check, so that the work to actually start I actually time myself and give myself a 15-minute limit. I realize that this may sound a little extreme, but when the previous item, I could have wasted when increasing my blog how much over time, I know, that restriction was its values.

This method is very simple and I think is a bit like the shocking way off. As soon as you check your statistics, control your account. With this I mean that the idea of change for something constructive. For example, every time that the idea of wasting time is bad to do something other than write an article or a weekly personal networks (Yes, this can also be a form of death, spiritual, but another article entirely!). After a little while, you'll soon get into the habit to do constructive things.

When these methods employ to start very soon to see the results of the traffic ranking. Keep in mind that everything, what you are doing, rather than the verification of the statistic to keep the online status, and help for a long time. Checking your nothing to help.

My father held the keys of the unused Niche markets

This Guest post is Ainslie CoursesThatMatter.com Hunter and, as the case may be.

When entrepreneurs Start on the network, they generally blog about what they know. For me it was the research skills. It's not the sexiest thing to talk about and really tough niche market to crack, but it is the first site, and has led to some of the paid blogging jobs and training.

But there is no money was making and very few of these students are interested in commenting on such site.

So I was with the ProBlogger a beer!

Have you ever seen a tweet Darren that reads "Ustream and have now come within the scope of the debate" from? Well I did, and one comment really captured my attention. I'm paraphrasing but Darren was asked whether he thought he could start a successful blog niche market. He thought it was interesting and believed, it could be done.

My father owned supermarkets. And now he owns a cutting horses. Cutting is the amazing horse competition, which is a non-refillable pocket Flint lighters originating in the United States. Here is a a short video that explains the cutting better than I can (not only the horse and the blood with the rider, and try to keep the cow from the consulted).

The father had spent the last nine months of listening to me, blogs and social media contacts, connection through stories and make money online.

So one day, we sat down and he showed me some very popular sites for people involved in sport trim. And was shocked! They were really ugly flash sites, terrible ads plastered and outdated content.

But they were all make money.

Cutting Horse with a link to is the newest cutting horse site online, created by yours truly and his father. The father to write posts and edit them. The father becomes the cutting horse shows at weekends and in the hands of our flyers. I hustle online, interact with the horse through the forums and connect via Facebook.

And together we have created a successful online business. Yes, the business! Within four months, we've already loyal following members who are approaching us asking us to promote them and, as the case may be. We have a large advertisers and pay us for the first author.

We have to be money faster than we expected.

I believe that the good bloggers can have a successful niche in the market. For this reason.

Blog-based sites look different than others. And it is good. It was clear as soon as the cutting horse fan is clicked on our site that we had something different. Cutting horse link focused on my stuff, even if other sites use the sale Barn in front of the right away.

Our site is also speaking in a different way than our competitors. We have more of our stories. We link to other users (including our competitors). I post a professional horse riders tennis their spurs photos. I have a section called "Gooseneck Gossip," and we Shoot videos of ourselves and post personal bests key industrial high.

Bloggers know that the community takes time to develop. Niche market inside of me is the most common question is "What's in it for me?" Because nothing had been sold, the community you don't trust the site. But it was okay. I knew that if our schedule in writing, that the people should come to the site will be retained. Surprisingly they came very quickly.

Straight up, dad and I knew we couldn't do all by ourselves. So that we can develop the relationships between different groups of the youth, parents cut —, trainers, invitations, photographers, and even to other sites. We took the time to promote them, and then ask if they would do the same. This is really important, if considered to be a niche market outsider. Relationships matter. We will not be able to convince the pro trainer and one of the largest horse breeders to be interviewed for the US, which resulted in more traffic — and more confidence.

From the beginning, I was the editorial schedule for the blog. I made sure the newsletter day 1 was. And make sure that the messages and titles are the SEO-friendly time is taken. I am surprised at how much traffic we get just the search engines. If you do not know SEO strategies, we definitely struggling.

If you try to write the blog you are familiar with the narrow market, you forget the most important rule when the viewing direction: content is King! So you will need to partner with someone who knows your audience. Not strictly on this site I could do without my way. He knows the attention and know what interesting stories about them. He pick trends before the real time, and he knows the correct language.

My role in this partnership exceeds the editor or online installations. Do not use the technical content and design strategies for a successful online business in the other.

And together we can have so much fun having. His father, now walks around by quoting it, Crush, and is a big hit on Facebook. Sure he does not know how to use WordPress and consider still unable to get tweeting. But he writes great stories and to understand that online relationships are just as they do in real life.

So the next time you have a family dinner in front of the TV do not hide or tweeting the whole time on your iPhone. Sit and listen to my aunt, as he describes his new patchwork quilt, or ask your own grandfather in his model train collection. You may find just the unused online-business-a gold mine!

Seven ways to get blog posts shared on Facebook

This Guest post is DanZarella.com Dan Zarrella.

You want to maximize the sharing of content on Facebook? Here are seven tips that are sure to help you.

Many companies block Facebook access Office, so sharing stories from the Facebook likely to increase over the weekend. You can try to publish a story on Saturday and Sunday.

Why "and" how to "rank among the most shared blog post titles in the commonest words. Facebook users want to get beyond the soundbite-title. They are also fans of the list-based superlatives such as "the best" and "most."

Just like you want to get Facebookers to exceed them, such as labels, but also the specific numbers. Articles that contain the numbers they are better than the articles without them on Facebook.

Unlike the Twitter users most of the Facebookers are into social media, social media, they do social media dorks. "google" "iPhone" and "Twitter" rank at least shareable words in between.

As the complexity of article growth, which it retrieves the shared Facebook education decreases. The same applies to the flowery language wherever adjectives and adverbs. Pick up a copy of the Style elements in will help refine the writing.

May seem obvious, but it is true: the edge of the content is not very sexual with Facebook. Of course, not every brand can play this game, but the story is another useful source of such information. Articles that are better than negative ones to positive.

Since Facebook has features that allow you to more easily and more is to share the video, the articles that contain the videos tend to do well on Facebook. On Twitter, not so much.

Found these tips is true, when you have shared content on Facebook? What advice can I add?

3 ways to use writing more clearly and more interesting

Ideas can be superb at the same time floating in my cranium. When they search for a book, however, if they are difficult to understand or blandly, their impact on the risk. Blogging is the best, when ideas are expressed clearly and compellingly.

The following three strategies to help you:

Ever had a blog post with the Whistling when all of a sudden you're using paper, free, yet being fully an uncooperative suspected as the Toddler, who refuses to eat his Brussels sprouts idea arrive?

If you are involved in the sentence, which is not a bratty do not want to be clear and concise, don't let it just sit there for misbehaving. You have the discipline to do so. You can make a move away from the ordinary sentence post blank page.

Start as soon as the confusing sentence you to attach a clear, space, when drawing up the new sentence below. By confusing sentence outside the post, and an empty page, you will not be distracted by the end of the writing. Obtained as a result of the focus in the singularity, you can create a better, clearer sentence.

Sometimes it is useful to include in the context of the surrounding sentences confusing sentence when you paste.

For example, wrote a blog post that uses the metaphor used in the River. Draws attention to the word ' Rushing ' how to use two consecutive sentences.

This is the original segment:

"You hear a ryntäämässä over the rocks of a genuine water sound? Tell me …, when you hear the Water Flowing, when you are sitting in the past or the future? Neither Of The Two. It is only possible in the precious sound hear in the now. "

Notice how the word ' Rushing ' is used in these successive sentences sounds monotonous? Delivery through the use of this word in succession, because it dulls repeated reader's ear. Instead, it's a good idea to replace one of the practices, pouring, synonym or something close to it.

See other uses ' Rushing ', a new improved version replaces the word:

"You hear a ryntäämässä over the rocks of a genuine water sound? Tell me …, when you hear the water when you must, at the hearing; babbling in the past or the future? Neither Of The Two. It is only possible in the precious sound hear in the now. "

Much better Sounding prose, doesn't it? The example replaces the one cited above, the ' Rushing ' practices actually contributes to a more vivid picture in the reader's mind. The thesaurus can help a good replacement for the word, which is used in the start-up phase of the referred to twice in succession.

We often provide sufficient information, in writing, so that the reader understands what you are, even if you do not specify a document every detail. If you provide information that readers can differentiate without your help, you have the Best writing and slowed down from the date of delivery of the Cookie.

Book writing, Stephen King, "reminds us if I tell you that Carrie White high school outcast poor complexion, as well as fashion-victim's wardrobe, I think you can do the rest, you will not be able to? You do not need to give you a pimple-by-pimple, skirt skirt rundown. "

The above principle applies equally to tietokirjallisuutta.

In the past, I have told you that when you're dealing with confusing sentence, should you move it to a blank page and builds a clearer sentence below it will take place.

I also added this:

"Sometimes it is useful to include in the context of the surrounding sentences confusing sentence paste."

As you can see how many of the surrounding sentences, you must include as something you can set up yourself, you do not specify the correct?

When you write for the public, always make for the sake of clarity and commitment to the highest priority.

I recently had a conversation with a friend who has just started out with making money from blogging. He had been struggling to get over the initial hump of getting things going and wanted to pick my brain on the “secrets” of how to do it.

Of course I struggled to answer at first—there’s simply not a simple equation on how to blog that will guarantee results—however, I did put together some thoughts for him that he found helpful. In this video, I summarize what I said.

While it’s fairly general in nature, I hope it’s helpful as we enter into a new year.

I had a conversation earlier today with a new friend who’s just started to blog. He’s been going for a couple of months now, and he’s a little bit frustrated. He’s hit a couple of brick walls, and he wanted to sit down and just sort of pick my brain on the secrets to making money from blogging and making money on the Internet.

And, look, it’s question I get asked a lot—particularly in interviews. You know, “What’s your number one secret to making money online?” And I always struggle to answer it, because ultimately there is no secret and there’s no one way to do this. You can look at the variety of Internet marketers and see a whole heap of different methods to do it and approaches to do it.

But I began to share with this friend some of the things I guess that I’ve learned, particularly in the last year or two, about making money online. And I asked him for his notes, because he was writing everything down, so that I could share it in a video. And this is kind of the stuff that I said to him.

Number one, I talked about trying to do something online that you really love. Choose an area, a topic, a niche, an industry, that you have some resonance with, some appreciation for, some passion for. There’s a whole heap of reasons for doing this. One, it’s much easier to stick with it for the long term. Two, those who read what you produce and come across you will feel much more drawn to you if you are passionate about it yourself. And I just personally find it much easier to make money from something that I actually have a genuine interest in, because I’m able to produce products and blog posts and content that connects with people, because I know what turns those people on, and I know what will get them reading. I know what will get them purchasing.

So if you have an interest, if you have a passion, then try to center what you do online around that. That doesn’t mean you can’t make money from something you’re not interested in or that you don’t like; it’s just a lot easier to do it that way.

The second thing I’d say—and I repeat this over and over again on ProBlogger, but I think it just needs to be said—is be as useful as you possibly can. One of my most recent videos on ProBlogger was about my son telling me, “Tell the world something important.” And really, that is it. That is what it’s all about for me.

Again, you can make money online by doing things that aren’t useful, that aren’t important, that aren’t really enhancing people’s lives, by ripping people off, but it’s much more satisfying if you’re doing something that is actually useful, and it’s much more sustainable in the long term if you want to build a business, rather than just make a quick buck, if you actually make connections with people and be useful to them.

The third thing I said was that you need to be confident. Once you’ve chosen something to produce and to focus in on, and once you are starting to be useful, it’s much easier to be confident—but you still need to work on that confidence. Many people get online, and they feel that they’re not able to sell themselves, they’re not able to sell the things that they do. And, look, that’s difficult to do, but you need to learn how to do that.

You need to approach this confidently. You need to make offers confidently. You need to approach other potential partners confidently. If you are nervously doing those things all the time, people will sense that.

Now, that doesn’t mean you have to be an extrovert and you need to hype things up. A quiet confidence will go a long way for you. So work on that aspect of things. Push yourself forward, if you aren’t one of those confident people. Get people around you to encourage you in that as well. So be as confident as you can.

The other thing I talked about with my friend today was diversifying what you do, and not just focusing upon one income stream. Now, this is a bit of a tricky one, because if you diversify too much you can end up not really doing anything very well. But what I’ve tried to do over the last eight or nine years now is diversify on a number of fronts.

One, diversify the topics that I write about. Now, I have four different main blogs that I produce content for, four different interests for me, and by doing that I’m diversifying, and if one doesn’t go so well I’ve got the three others to back it up.

But I’m also trying to diversify the income streams. And you’ll have seen, I’ve produced a breakdown of my income streams over the last couple of months. And you’ll see in that eight or nine different areas of income. I’m not just relying upon ad networks like AdSense, or I’m not just relying upon my own eBooks. I’m trying to build in different income streams so that if one falls over, or if one takes a little while to take off, there are other things there to supplement that income.

In the early days of my own blogging and making money online, I diversified by having a real job as well. When I first started I had three jobs, so I had this diversification, I guess, of the income streams, and that helped me to be much more sustainable in the long term.

Speaking of long term, the number five thing that I’d say is that you really need to take a long-term view of this. You can make money fast on the Internet, but it generally comes after years of building foundations. A number of times, I feel like I’ve made a lot of money really fast on the Internet, but as I look back on it there’s usually been two or three years of work, of building relationships with readers and producing content for free, that have led to these bursts of income. And so you do need to take a long-term view of things.

You need to see it as an investment. A lot of the times, when you make investments, you don’t get a return on those investments for a number of years, and the same is true on the Internet. See the time, the energy, and perhaps even some money that you’ve put into these things as an investment that hopefully, one day, will pay off.

The last thing I guess I said to my friend was that you really need to treat it as a business rather than just an event. Making money online … again, it can happen as an event, it can be these moments where you make money, but most online entrepreneurs actually see it as a business. It’s not just a one-off thing where they make money, and then they go and try something else. What I’ve tried to do is to build a business that has this diversity of income, but is also growing over time. As you release a new product, you need to think about ways of driving traffic back to that product over time. As you do affiliate marketing, you need to build systems that will continue to promote things to your readers using, say, an autoresponder.

You need to think a bit strategically, I guess is what I’m trying to say. A lot of people get online, and they produce content, and they think that it will make money by just getting readers. You need to think strategically about how you’re actually going to monetize it. So you need to think about it as a business, you need to think about it strategically, and probably one of the main things for me in terms of building a business rather than just having a job online is to actually build products into what you do. Don’t just rely upon advertising revenue, or marketing other people’s products. Whatever you do, try and work towards having some products that you can sell of your own, and then develop systems around those products to sell them, not just when you launch them, but in an ongoing way.

They’re some of the secrets of making money online that I guess I’ve been thinking about, particularly over the last year or two. There’s a whole heap more of course, but I’d love to hear some of your secrets to making money online. You can leave them in the comments below this video, and I’d love to connect with you there.

You have a niche! Only unknown yet

This is a Guest post by Heather Eigler HomeToHeather.com

Yes, you have a niche. You've probably read it a thousand times Blogs about blogging. Two pieces of advice are the number one ' select your own niche wisely ' and ' Type, what you know. "

So what if you're smart and you don't know anything? What to write about that its niche? And take out a niche.(3), do you still?

Oman niche can help you focus on. You can give identity and purpose. The blog, which is not a niche does not cover model is similar to the magazine. Magazine cover design of the Interior tells the readers are likely to find on the pages of vaistomaisesti. Fashion model indicates celebrities articles and shopping can be found on the inside. Athlete will tell you to learn, we are likely to improve our golf swing.

The same applies to blogs. A niche for our version of the cover design. We include in our titles, our buttons, our posts and our SEO. Readers who country page for vaistomaisesti know what this blog is about — If we have done our jobs well.

Are the blogs, food and cameras blogs. Blogs about travel and sports blogs. But what if you just type in everyday life? What if the item does not have the kernel and the blog is a grab bag, and here.

What can you do then?

Yes, you can do! It is the location. Each live somewhere. And other people who live if you can find information on who to local events, and restaurant reviews. And many people who do not live if you do, which might be interested in visiting the intrinsic merits of … but how do they know if they cannot reach anything through the web, which explains what a great place it is?

When my site, HomeToHeather.com, is a more personal blog, which I knew that I was going to have to expand my readership and can therefore, by reason of my problem — it is a mom blog. Only so many people are going to want to read about my children
and they certainly are not going to surf the Web with search engines to do so. Yes, I write about, among other things, too — blogging and such.

You've been StumbleUpon traffic, but not enough to keep the site growing success with a small bit of code. Because I live, quite high, decided that a local slant, dynamic city that may be my niche. So began to include some of the messages there and here in Calgary. My city added to title tags, and tape. Then I sat back and watched my stats to see if someone arrived via a search.

And they did.

5 Solid tips to improve internal links

Your strengths play is an important part of SEO and go off and spending the whole day to pursue endlessly external links, it is important to review your site before.

You can configure what appears on the site, and the article number below to view the SEO tips provided by the strength and improves the internal link architecture blog in many ways.

As a precaution, do not you come across any "Internal link" phrase before, here's a quick definition from SearchPath:

The process by which the words or phrases in the web page that is linked to the site's other pages. Internal links are considered important in SEO terms, as they are often spidered and appear in Google.

So here are my five tips to help you improve the internal link architecture.

Make sure that you are trying to Get ranked for keywords, are used to anchor text (link text). For example, if you are trying to Get ranked, is "internal links" and the page you want users to be able to search for the phrase "internal link" Guide to the article, then use that phrase in anchor text link. Spiders to understand then the target page is about, and it increases the strength of the statement of the contents of the classification.

Although there is empirical evidence to say that search engines spiders prefer to use an absolute URL (i.e. http://yourdomain.com/pagetitle.html), relative URLs (i.e./pagetitle.html), is a good idea to use an absolute URL. It helps you to determine exactly where the spiders the page is located on the site, and if the content may be copied, then at least links show back to the Web site.

The rate at which pages load affects the page rank. I recommend the Google Webmaster tools and add your sitemap to your blog. You can then view the site performance and how quickly pages load. Google looks to 1.5 seconds, or less than a good load of time. Compress large images and refine the unnecessary code to speed up your site.

Although search engines improving all the time, the spiders crawling is still difficulties with the navigation menus in the text. It is recommended that you use the text menu, rather than those that require Flash or JavaScript.

It is important to keep in mind that search engine spiders love to move freely and quickly through the site, which is why you have submitted the above mentioned tips. But one thing that really keep hitting spiders is a dead end, and for this reason, the links are broken. Google Webmaster tools also identify broken links on your blog. Through these links, and either remove them or change the fixed text and redirect it to a valid link page.

These are my tips to improve the functioning of the internal links on your blog. What others can add?

5 Ways Facebook App will do better in the discussions on Blogger

"Build a community." You can hear it all the time. "Comment on the articles in the other users sent by post and discussion.

One of the most online communication systems shall be determined in accordance with the way the problems is that they are, from top to bottom, in nature. Blog posts the required before users can comment on, Facebook pages, where they can be distinguished from neighbouring areas because, in the news feed and updates the list goes on and on ….

And even if these methods are necessary to obtain a community building, add comments or tweets or Facebook shares, the construction of a Community act is. You're building a successful broadcasting environment — that — but the bunch of people broadcasting is not in the community.

The community does not have a large number of comments, either. Community is defined in the discussion by leaving comments, which will take place between people.

If you want to create the contents of the authority, the killer is only a first step. A real leader has the ability to embed the ideas spark discussion and inspire others to rise to the occasion. The next step is to give them the resources to communicate with each other to inspire you with ideas about infektoituvia.

This is where Facebook discussions application should.

Discussions On App

Think Facebook is a forum for discussion of the application, the poor man. Even if it is missing the ability to share photos, a link to the anchor text or even give users a signature, it is one thing that is important to build a community: it allows members to communicate with each other.

Find a healthy balance of topics that you can talk with you and invite you to the start of their expertise on the topics you can help the readers. Topics can be started by a person who "keeps" page — the page they need to initiate a system administrator.

At the outset, it is likely you will need to get the people who are looking for a way to check for status updates, the discussions tab, because the discussions are discussions-the application does not publish a news feed. Once you've learned with other people, to take your own discussions application in life.

Favorite book, tool, or another secret weapon you want to talk about, but it does not fit quite content to the calendar?

Instill a sense of community among the members of the comfort that encourages start conversations that apply to their specific situations. Discussions application allows you to share the resources of the community and to keep the information private. In other words, you don't tweet it, post it to youtube, or blog about it: keep exclusive the discussions tab.

Of course, someone "like" the page and use it, but in this case, the idea is to keep hidden so loyal and active readers unfamiliar with the exclusive right to the little gems.

If all of the content is surrounded by a specific theme, but a member of the community have a question about something else you are connected to the authority, the discussions on the application, it is a good idea to have a conversation with them half.

One of my runs regional restaurant chain. They use the discussions page fans often ask questions about the App on their territory, vegan, Mediterranean and vegetarian friendly food, and upcoming events by opening new stores.

Hubspot, an online marketing agency and technology firm sees frequently queries the discussions tab vary depending on the questions of the products and reports on the blog and site type 101 questions.

By contributing to the community, if you want to submit questions for the purposes of this regulation, you can do two things:

If you are using a frequently asked question, address it to the public of the other may not be able to see it.You can display their expertise, in particular, on the other members of the community.

Of course, sometimes not all agree, in particular with regard to the response, which brings us to our next to enable discussions on the application.

Don't we all just get? Quite frankly, sometimes No answer is quite simple, "No!"

Discussions can be an excellent tool to spark discussions or to facilitate sytyttäviä of topics. When the conversation is sometimes introduced its heat, people come out with their best stuff, so every now and again, so that you know the show is a lot of people have strong views on the topic and the counterparty.

Only the word of warning, though: If you are looking for a good debate can bring a community together — or tear apart. Your work is considered to be the authority in line with the persons in excess of the discussions, please stop.

Do not let the discussion, simply because it retrieves die buried in the News Feed. Discussions continue to discussion topic started

One of the perks is the page the administrator has the comment thread for all the participants will be notified when you reply to a thread.

Thus, for example, suppose that, for example, publish status, that one of the reasons for and retrieves a ton of feedback. The possibilities are that the debate doesn't die, it is no longer simply not interesting. More likely, they die, because it is no longer visible.

Why not start a topic discussions tab, so that members can continue the conversation? Although the conversation will not be able to publish a News Feed, it will bring the overall experience, by giving more people a little bit deeper into meaning regarding. In addition, depending on the topic of the thread could become resource that you can link to from time to time.

These are my preferred ways to build a community around the blog conversations. You've tried the discussions App yet? What tips or advice you can add?

Create a membership program that Rocks (1)

Many bloggers dream of adding a membership program to their blog. And with good reason. A membership program can create raving fans, will make your blog stand out, and can even create a great revenue stream. But most membership programs fizzle out because the creator made one or more of five critical mistakes in creating and running it.

In the last couple of years I’ve set up two successful membership programs, the A-List Blogger Club, with over 800 paying members, and the free Goodlife ZEN Fitness Challenge, with over 350 members. And I’ve helped quite a few bloggers to plan and set up successful membership programs. I’ve learned what works, and which mistakes to avoid.

Before I share my tips with you, let’s consider a few important questions.

A membership program is a lot of additional work for a blogger, so it’s important to think carefully before you establish one. The upside is that a membership program boosts a sense of community on your blog, creates goodwill, and can be a great source of income. The downside is that it’s hard work to maintain a membership site. In other words, you have to work your backside off in order to make it a success.

Whether you want to create a paid or unpaid membership is a decision you need to make before you start. It’s hard to convert a free program to a paid one without losing most of your members. If you are dead keen on starting a free program, make sure you have a plan of how to monetize it in the future. Otherwise, it will become a drag on your time and energy. (You’ll find some suggestions on how to monetize a free program further down).

If you want to create a paid membership program, you need to make a crushing offer in order to get people to join. And you need no-brainer benefits in order to get people to stay.

If you start a paid program, just creating a forum isn’t enough. If you offer some kind of training as well, you’re off to a good start. Because people expect information on the Internet to be free, and they don’t want to spend money in order to just bitch and moan about their life on a private forum. But many are willing to pay for new skills.

For example, for membership of the A-list Blogger Club (which Leo Babauta of Zen Habits and I run jointly) we offer free access to any future A-list Blogging Bootcamps, as well as to all the material of past Bootcamps. Members get a monthly interactive masterclass, plus members-only monthly training seminars. All this for an under-the-radar price of $20 a month. Members regularly tell me that we’re giving away too much. True. It’s our intention.

Take-home tip: offer “too much” for a price that’s “too low”. It’s not enough to have a crushing offer. There are some important pitfalls you need to avoid if you want to create a successful program. I’ve sighed over many new programs that were doomed to fail, just because the blogger made one of the following mistakes.

You need momentum in order to start a membership program. That is, you need a bunch of people who are ready and eager to join. I reckon that you need at least 50 members in order to make it work. If you have less than that, the program will most likely fizzle out. Nobody likes hanging out in a dead forum where zilch happens.

When Leo and I started the A-List Blogger Club after our first Bootcamp, we started with 45 members. The first month was touch and go because we had barely enough momentum. I used to post on the forum about ten times a day, just to keep the thing alive. Then, as soon as we hit over 100 subscribers, the forum burst into life.

When I created the Fitness Challenge on Goodlife ZEN, Leo Babauta suggested creating a forum so that members could report how they exercise each day. Over one hundred readers had expressed that they wanted to join the Fitness Challenge in comments on my introductory post. So, from day one, I had over 100 members in the program. Now numbers have swelled to over 350 and the forum is a lively place.

Make sure you have at least 50 people who will start your program from day one.

Many bloggers tell me that they want to start a membership program. I applaud the idea in principle. But warn that it’s not you, the blogger, who needs to think it’s a good idea. Your readers or participants need to clamor for an ongoing program. My suggestion is to create something on your blog that creates a buzz – and only then start a program.

Let me give you an example: Project 333—which was started by Courtney Carver of Be More With Less—is the kind of project that’s begging for a membership program. The project is about creating a wardrobe with only 33 items that you can live, work and play in for three months. The project has had a huge buzz on Facebook, and Courtney is now developing the project on her blog. I see that her latest post about the project has over 100 comments. That’s a sure sign of enough momentum for starting a membership program.

You need to give prospective members a good reason to join. I’ve seen a lot of limp programs especially in the self-development field that offer this kind of “benefit”: This program is a place where you can share your journey of development. Boring, right?

What’s important here is to think about what aspirations members share. Common aspirations are the glue that holds members together. For example, fans of Project 333 want to experience practical minimalism, the participants of the Goodlife ZEN Fitness Challenge want to get and stay fit, and the members of the A-List Blogger Club want to become better bloggers.

Once you’ve got the handle on the common aspiration, it’s easy to formulate clear benefits. Just make sure you don’t use what copywriter Clayton Makepeace calls “faux benefits”, that is, features masquerading as benefits.

People who join a membership program get hacked off if they read spam comments in the forum. To scan the forum for spam is one of the necessary tasks of maintaining a good program. Make sure that only registered forum users can post. And assemble a group of moderators to help you with the task of keeping your forum clear of spam and rants.

Set the culture of the forum by responding in a friendly, supportive way to comments. Create guidelines and make sure members adhere to them. If you get nasty people in your program, don’t hesitate to give them a warning, and block them if they continue to flaunt your guidelines.

I’m often amazed at the names bloggers come up with for their programs. Take a name like “Cut Your Coat”. You might think that “Cut Your Coat” is a dress-making program. Wrong. It’s about self-development—but who would have thought that?

Make sure that the name of your program clearly states what it’s about. The purpose of the program needs to be self-evident. If you need to explain the name, bin it immediately.

The best way to monetize a free program is to create digital products that are tailor-made for your ‘captive’ audience. For example, I’m in the process of creating ebooks and podcasts about fitness and motivation for the Fitness Challenge at Goodlife ZEN. The key is to create products that can help your members to participate successfully in the program.

If you run a paid membership program, you can create courses or digital products to sell to your members. Survey your members to find out which relevant skills they would like to develop.

Setting up a free membership program is easy. All you need to do is to add a forum to your blog. I use the free WordPress plugin Simple:Press. It may not the best forum software, but it’s easy to install, and it preserves the appearance and branding of your blog.

If you want to set up a paid membership site, I suggest using the WordPress plugin Wishlist Member. It’s a premium plugin and costs $97—but it’s worth it. Wishlist can be adapted to many different program structures. And it’s easy to integrate with payment processors, such as Paypal or 1Shopping Cart, or with email responder services, such as AWeber, or Mailchimp.

Whatever your plans for a membership program may be, don’t be in a hurry to create it—especially if it’s going to be free. Wait until you have enough momentum, as well as a real reason for setting up a program. Then think carefully about the structure you are aiming for. You need to know exactly what you want to offer, and how you are going to deliver it in your program.

Don’t settle for mediocre. Instead, create something of real value. Most of all, be insanely useful. Create something that can change lives.

Over to you—if you’ve run a membership program, what are your tips?

Travel bloggers … Time management and other

Although I hate the name, I am somewhat a digital nomad. I would like to spend time traveling the world, and I went to work. That the very definition of I am a digital nomad. But unlike most other digital nomads, city, Don't move in a few months to live and work there. So I am continuously variable run travel blog. In fact, my life would be much easier if it was in the same place. Therefore, it is important to me, the problem is the Organiser.
